The Dunera and Queen Mary Association announces the possibility to participate virtually in future events of the organization. Ahead of the next events in late August and early September 2025 to mark the 85th anniversary of the Dunera’s landing in Australia, videos of recent events and older contributions are already available. This is possible under the “Media” tab on the Association’s website.
Recent contributions include a recording of Nick Ross’s talk at the 85th anniversary event in Tatura and an interview that Seumas Spark conducted with the son of Dunera Boy Hans Rosenblüth in Melbourne in April.
The archive also includes a four-part autobiographical report by Dunera Boy Klaus Friedeberger.
Updates of articles:
The Dunera Boys remembered him with positive thoughts: As a doctor, Lieutenant Dr. Alexander Brooks looked after the internees. The photo is from the book “The Dunera Scandal”.

In the meantime, an advertisement for the “constant entertainment” on board during the luxury cruises before the war has been added to the article about the ill-fated Arandora Star.
